Builder rate cards

Use your rates on every quote.

A rate card gives Build Duh a consistent pricing base while leaving you free to adjust the job in front of you.

Keep the pricing basis visible

Store the rates you use for labour, materials and common work. When a quote is drafted, you can see the quantity and unit rate behind each line item rather than receiving a single unexplained total.

Adjust for the actual job

A rate card is a starting point. Access, location, specification, programme, waste, risk and subcontractor availability can all change the price. Review these conditions on every job.

Review rates regularly

  • Update supplier and subcontractor prices
  • Check labour rates against actual job costs
  • Separate VAT-inclusive and VAT-exclusive figures
  • Record what each rate includes
  • Allow for overhead and profit deliberately
